How to Lower Home Equity Interest and Gather Equity Loan Information

May 4th, 2008 by leisaphilion

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=James_Ellison]James Ellison The interest rate changes from lender to lender with home equity loans. Largely, each lender remains within the interest guidances setup by the loan officers. Home equity loans are to some extent a cash in advance loan, on account of many lenders will furnish with the loan no closing costs, fees, or other upfront expenses. Many loans call for the borrower to pay origination fees, arrangement fees, title costs and closing costs, though the home equity loans frequently want nothing down. Numerous home equity loans begin with interest rates approximately 6.675%. Many lenders as well charge lower interest rates, but for the most part, the borrower wont acknowledge the difference until he goes over the decrease of his monthly statements. Saying it another way, home equity loans provide great monthly installments, running from $150 and more, the borrower with this low payment, is not going to find interest on the loan till he reexamines his statement and sees the principal is going down like a turtle. After many years, homeowners frequently take out an additional loan to repay the equity loan. The procedure becomes costly over time, because each loan taken out starts the principal at the start again. Every year your home is at risk of receding equity; nonetheless, equity loans seldom see negative equity. If negative equity exists, it can run to complications when going for a separate loan. Home equity is a handy way to get your hands on easy cash, it takes careful thought to arrive at the right choice. For example, if you do not use a comparison of a number of lenders rates, you may detect later on that you were able to get a better deal at another place. When looking at a loan, remember security is the principle concern. Also look at the risks, capital, interest, penalties, and other points relating to equity loans. Gather Equity Loan Information Many loans of all kinds often have restricted amounts for borrowing. Many lenders figure your earnings whenever applying for loans. The lender will look at several details, including repayments, acceptance, and so on ahead of offering you a loan. Some lenders broker the loans by going 3.25 times the gross salary of a borrower. The lender will also weigh the equity, signifying that the lender will regulate the amount he is wishing to loan you in contract with the equity of the home. That is a kind of promise that the property will stay uniform with the loan amount. The lenders will include assorted costs. It depends on the price of the home bought, but for the most part, you will pay a portion of the total balance of the property value. They will also figure in surveyor fees, title, arrangement fees, legal charges and other charges when looking at a loan. The agreement fees are administration costs that will enhance the lenders salaries. Premiums, add on fees, and paid coverage guarantee the home will also be bonded to the loan. They will also require you to pay many different fees upfront if you are awarded the loan. There are means to fend off some of these expenses, by reading about equity loans on the internet could give you a wealth of data to assist you in saving money. Different loans are accessible online and the equity loans have a wealth of data to direct you to low rates and low mortgage payments. Also, make sure that you have examined and noted the similarities or differences of a significant amount of loan rates and fees before you really accept a lenders offer. Study Finds Healthy Mouth - Healthy Body Relationship

May 1st, 2008 by leisaphilion

By Michael Callen According to a new study appearing in the American Journal of Periodontology, researchers have found a significant correlation between healthy eating and healthy gums. Specifically, those people who were not overweight, consumed a nutritious diet, and regularly exercised with moderate intensity were 40% less likely to suffer from gum disease. Of the over-12,000 people surveyed, only 3% of the people possessed all three traits (not being overweight, eating a nutritious diet, and exercising regularly), but its interesting to note that as people added more of these traits to their arsenal, their periodontal health improved as well. Those people who possessed two of the traits were 29% less likely to suffer gum disease, and those who possessed only one of the three key traits were 16% less likely to suffer gum disease. In statistics, there is a saying that goes like this: “Correlation is not necessarily causation.” This means that, while the correlation is statistically significant, one must decide whether it is the healthy behavior that is the cause of the healthy mouth, or the healthy mouth the cause of the healthy behavior. Researchers pointed out that there were a few possible factors contributing to this statistical relationship. Eating healthy foods (such as lots of fresh fruits and vegetables) tends to help scrub the plaque off of teeth before it can turn into tartar, which causes pockets in the gums where bacteria can take root. Also, it has been suggested that the increased circulation that comes from exercise may help to reduce inflammation. The bottom line is that, whether the mouth is the window into the body or the body is the window into the mouth, it’s just one other weapon to help you win the battle of the bulge. One measure of one’s self is weight. We can step onto a scale once a day and see if we have gained, lost, or maintained weight in comparison to the previous day. A scale can be “out of sight, out of mind,” but your mouth never leaves you. The health of your teeth and gums, the lack of plaque and debris, and the freshness of your breath can be a constant reminder of the status of your overall health. There are other dental health-related weight loss tips that you can use in conjunction with this periodontal health study. 1. Brush and floss your teeth immediately following each meal. Doing so will give you a clean mouth and fresh breath and you will be less likely to mess up your clean mouth by snacking on food prior to your next meal. 2. Use a strong, mint-flavored toothpaste, mouthwash, or both. The mint flavor does not mix well with many foods and flavors. Remember the last time you brushed your teeth and then finished off the glass of orange juice before rushing off to work? The very thought of that after-taste is enough to keep you from eating before your next meal. An executive at the California Dental Association told me several years ago that, in his opinion, the biggest health crisis in this country was related to people not realizing that their oral health was so strongly related to their overall health. This new study seems to confirm his understanding of that relationship. The well-armed warrior will use this knowledge to his or her benefit in order to gain an advantage in fighting the “Battle of the Bulge.” References: http://www.perio.org/ http://my.webmd.com/content/article/110/109676.htm Michael Callen is the author of the Weekly Weightloss Tips Newsletter (http://www.weeklyweightlosstips.com) and the Chief Technology Officer for WellnessPartners.com (http://www.WellnessPartners.com), an online retailer of dozens of health and wellness products such as conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), r+ alpha lipoic acid (R+ ALA), and green tea extract. Marketing your Ministry: Combine the Right Bait with the Right Base

April 28th, 2008 by leisaphilion

By Dianna Hobbs You already have a particular group of people in mind that you believe God has called you to influence, right? Of course you do. Obviously, in order to gain support for your ministry or business, you must identify your base and then find creative ways to connect to your target market. Now that weve established that, let me ask you this. What happens when you appeal to the very people you believe should make up your base, only to receive no response and no support? Hmmm.thats a little tougher. Before you get discouraged and give up, consider this. Whatever youre marketing from your ministry or business is only going to appeal to a specific audience. You have to be comfortable with knowing that even though you may have a desire, or a burden to assist a particular group of people, they may not be willing or ready to accept what you have to offer. This is when you need to cast your net more broadly, or in other words, go fish in another pond. Sometimes we pigeon-hole ourselves, because we think that only one specific group of people can benefit from our services. Dont make this mistake. Youll be surprised at what you catch when you combine the right bait with the right base. Consider Jesus for a moment. Although he was sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel the Bible says that, he came to his own, and his own received him not. Did Jesus stop fishing? Absolutely not! He ended up broadening his base and servicing the needs of the gentiles; they believed in and supported his ministry. I happen to be a product of the expansion, and I am still one of Jesus greatest supporters! Heres my point. If you cast your net and the individuals you originally cast the net for dont respond, dont panic. When the original path doesnt work out, dont be afraid to change course. After all, Jesus did. In closing, whether youre seeking to attract new converts, or new clients; you have to fish wisely and remain open. 2006 Hobbs Ministries. All rights reserved. The Power of Authenticity

April 26th, 2008 by leisaphilion

By Barbara Rose, Ph.D. How “powerful” are you? Do you ever cover up how you genuinely feel? Do you ever say what you think you “should,” say, based on how you want others to perceive you? Do you ever think you “should” be a certain way? Why? Ill share with you why I did in the past. I “thought” I “should” be a certain way, say certain things, act in the manner that I “thought” would bring me either the results I was attached to, or the acceptance of those I wanted. How powerful was I? About as powerful as a spineless wimp. When my behavior was incongruent with how I sincerely felt, all I did was give away my power. I then felt less powerful than before. If my energy went into trying to live up to a fictitious image I “thought” I “should” be, then what I was doing in actuality, was depleting myself of my genuine, authentic power. There is nothing more powerful than BEING who you really are. Being strong enough to say what you really think, show how you really feel, and act the way you really feel like behaving is called congruency. This takes guts. It requires self-respect. When you are aligned with yourself, THEN you are authentically powerful. Whose acceptance are you trying to get? Stop. Get your own. Whose approval are you trying to win? You only need self-approval. Who implanted the false image in your head you think you are supposed to live up to in order to be enough? Look at the image in the mirror. You ARE enough, NOW. If you feel something, say it. You may say something as gently or as graciously as you would like, but make sure that it is said. If you sincerely want to do something, turn off your head, and DO what YOU WANT to do, without worrying about imagined future results. If you keep whatever bothers you all bottled up, you will wind up unnecessarily exploding on others. Share your feelings honestly. You see, once you begin to be authentic, you begin to feel the REAL you. Once you begin to feel the real you, you will never go back to feeling powerless. The only way to feel true authentic power is to be true, authentic and congruent. Simply be the real you. Then all feelings of powerlessness diminish. You will worry far less. You will be more centered. You will feel more in control, because you will not be divided between who you think you should be, and who you really are. Be who you really are. Then, and only then, will you realize how dynamic your life will become. Copyright by Barbara Rose. Sunless Tanning Salons Today

April 24th, 2008 by leisaphilion

By Ken Marlborough When the weather starts to warm up and the days get longer, we are all drawn outdoors to enjoy the sun. Many will recall seemingly endless hours outdoors, soaking up the sun’s rays without a care. Unfortunately, sunbathing isn’t as carefree an activity as it used to be. These days, there’s more to worry about, such as premature aging, scarring and blemishes, or even skin cancer. The sunless tanning salon is becoming more and more diversified. High-end salons and spas are starting to supplement their UV tanning services with sunless. Sessions can cost anywhere from $25 per session to up to $100 for a few one-hour sessions. When a person visits a sunless tanning salon, they have the option of using a spray booth or having a technician apply the tanner with an airbrush system. There are also the options of UV tanning via tanning beds and even application of tanning lotions by salon staff. The latter can cost up to $125 per session, and whether or not this service is available will depend on the salon. Many salons sell tanning lotions, mousses, bronzers, and other products in addition to their in-house services. The tanning spray used in a sunless tanning salon contains dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA reacts with dead skin cells on the surface of the body, causing them to turn brown. As dead skin peels off, the tan fades, just like with a natural suntan. Some sunless tanning salons add cosmetic bronzers to their formulas, which cause the effects of the tan to show up sooner, sometimes immediately. DHA without a bronzer added does not begin to show results for two to four hours after a session. A good sunless tanning salon will have knowledgeable, open staff that will explain procedures, precautions, and aftercare to clients. Follow-up care or maintenance is usually available in the form of repeat visits, touch ups, or advice on how to prolong the tan with products such as lotions. Sunless Tanning Info provides detailed information about sunless tanning lotion, booths, sprays, salons, and pills, as well as reviews of best sunless tanning products and methods. 9 Biggest Weight Loss Blunders: Why You May Not Be Losing Weight No Matter What You Do

April 22nd, 2008 by leisaphilion

By Jennifer Murray 1. Unless your weight loss plan is proactive and personalized, your weight loss efforts are destined to fail. Fix: Keep it real. Figure out what will and will not work for you personally. If you’re too busy to cook on weeknights, spend a few hours on the weekend to shop and prepare meals you can enjoy throughout the week. Get some healthy crockpot recipes so that a healthy dinner is cooking while you go about your day. 2. Too many foods on your “bad food” list. Fix: Do not cut entire categories of food from your diet. According to Dayle Hayes, M.S., R.D., a nutrition consultant, “Any time you eliminate whole food groups (such as dairy, carbs, and high GI foods like carrots and beets), you wipe out important nutrients.” So tackle the bigger issue of planning, shopping, and preparing meals that contain some of the healthy foods on your “bad food” list. 3. You’re gaining in the double digits. Gaining 10 or more pounds is going to require a bigger commitment to weight loss than if you only gain 5 pounds. Fix: Nip weight gain in the bud. Keep a food diary to track calories and emotional eating. Get monthly body fat checks. By reviewing your progress regularly and making small, doable changes to your eating and exercise habits, the next time you step o n the scale, you will see results. 4. You don’t plan ahead. Fix: Getting hungry is normal, so instead of denying the fact that you will get hungry, plan ahead for the times when you know you’re going to feel those hunger pangs; otherwise, you’re likely to eat too much of the wrong foods. Never go more than 4 to 5 hours without eating. Also, bring health lunches and snacks to work that you can eat at your desk. 5. You cut out all fat. A low-fat diet is a great way to lose pounds, but cutting out all fat is bound to fail you. Fix: Recent research shows that eating a little more healthy (most monosaturated fat) combined with a diet rich in fiber and lean protein (like skim milk) can actually help you lose weight because you will stay full longer. Enjoy controlled portions of fatty foods like olive oil, avocados, salmon, and nuts, and you might just find it easier than ever to lose those unwanted pounds. 6. You forget about calories. Research shows that many of us forget what we eat during the day or ignore anything we don’t actually see in our food (secret sauces, added fat, sugar and calories we sip instead of chew). Fix: Pay attention to what you’re eating. Too many nibbles and sips can quickly add up and those “lost” calories will show up on your butts, abs, and thighs. 7. You cut out all meat just to shed unwanted weight. Deciding to go vegetarian has many great health reasons, but weight loss isn’t one of them. Why? Because most people who eliminate meat aren’t eating that much of it to begin with. In fact, research shows that many people who completely cut meat out of their diet actually gain weight because they replace meat with piles of pasta and rice (foods that more than make up for meat calories without providing protein’s staying power). Fix: For a smooth transition to a meat-free lifestyle, consider taking a vegetarian cooking class or consult with a nutritionist for a healthy eating plan that satisfies you and coves all nutritional bases. 8. You’re stuck on the same meals. When it comes to your diet, you eat the same “safe foods” (yogurt, salad, grilled chicken) every single day of the week. However, too little variety can leave you feeling deprived. Eating the same thing every day can lead to food cravings, binge eating, and weight gain. Fix: Try different flavors of yogurt or cereal for breakfast, mix and match a few of your high-fiber cereals with a variety of fruits, mix chicken into a savory soup. Basically, add some variety to avoid burnout. 9. Forgetting exercise. When it comes to weight loss, one of the biggest mistakes that people make is not realizing that some type of physical activity is key to losing those unwanted pounds. Fix: Try to get in some type of physical activity at least 5 days per week. Whether it be walking, aerobics, weight training, walking the dog, anything that requires some movement. Don’t forget that everything you do will count towards your daily activity requirements, including cleaning, taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Exercise is key not only to losing weight, but your overall sense of health and well-being. Why This? Why Now? Holistic Healing - Is This The Answer?

April 20th, 2008 by leisaphilion

By Diane Willbrandt Why This? Why Now? Holistic Healing. Is This The Answer? I have just created a new business as a designer of web pages and online marketing. My first customer was one of my best friends who approached me with her friends, saying “We need some business and some credibility. ” They were all into various avenues of holistic healing. I believe in the validity and integrity of the three women, so I decided to create the site: http://www.spiritenergyhealers.com. I not only believe in the ladies, but I believe in the product. I have always felt there is more to religion than going to church and just loving others. I have been fascinated by the spiritual side of it all. I have always felt there is more than just medicine and physicians to healing. I have seen the power of prayer, the strength of the human touch and the human mind. I look back to ancient times and the wisdom and power of healing with herbs, words and the earth, and I see empowerment there. I want to know why. There is more to healing, more to religion, more to spiritual guidance. I think the time has come when this all needs to come forward, and people open their minds and start to accept. The body, mind, spirit, and soul connection makes so much sense to me. How can we separate them? I want to be a part of this movement. As my friends and I came together and I looked at their business goals and ideas, I felt they were helping me as much as I was helping them. I needed to start somewhere with my small business, and I really knew little about websites. The conservative town of Grand Haven, Michigan was not totally ready for their approach to holistic healing through spiritual guidance, Reiki, Shamanism and Archetypes. We do have yoga, massage and hypnosis in this western part of Michigan, but as I traveled recently to the Western part of our nation, I saw much more than this. In every block in Bellingham, Washington, I witnessed rolfing, intuitive readings, career karma, and every kind of yoga and meditation opportunity imaginable. I even saw medical doctors affiliated with alternative healing. I was impressed.. Even on the Eastern side of Michigan, progression is taking place. As I searched on the web for sites like I wanted to produce, I saw that Michigan is full of offerings in the Detroit area and even in the city of Grand Rapids. Maybe there was hope for the ladies. Recently, a new office site opened near my home. The practitioners offered Reflexology, Water Therapy, Acupuncture, Acupressure, Hypnosis and much more. It closed due to a lack of interest. All of the interesting evening sessions are gone too, due to lack of interest. What does it take to open minds? What does it take to get away from the narrow religious ideas held dear by our ancestors? I consider knowledge and exposure to be the answer, and as I write about Reiki, Shamanism, Alternative Healing and ideas, I know a supreme being is guiding me and guiding those willing to help others as they create new businesses. Let’s look at Reiki. My first exposure was an interesting and frightening experience. My friend’s home was across from mine. A beautiful home, it had been repossessed by the bank as the mom and daughters left one day leaving furniture and food on the table. Just left… Previously, I had witnessed police officers at the home taking away the stepfather of the children. He had sexually molested both of the daughters, and it soon was common knowledge in our small town. The home was on the market for an inexpensive price, and my friend purchased it. The home felt wrong. Something was just lacking in it, and we both knew it. We knew somewhat of what had happened, and the energy of it remained there. An inexplicable eeriness was present. I was informed that someone could help us. I had a do it yourself Feng Shui kit, but I needed more! The helper turned out to be a prominent women from the area; Lisa Lee. Lisa had been a parent at the school where I taught and on the school board. What? She did Reiki? What was this Reiki, and who really was this woman? I contacted her with my strange request: ” My friend’s home has bad energy and needs blessing. Help us please.” She arrived that evening, coughing and choking as she entered. Yes, there was negative energy left behind. It had nowhere to go. She went outside, “grounded herself” and came in again. She calmly explained the procedure, and we were enthralled and maybe somewhat frightened. We were both open to whatever was going to take place. She talked about energy having nowhere to go, and we are all made up of energy. Even when not present, a person’s energy can be left behind, and in this case, the energy from the pain and suffering of abuse lingered. This made sense to us, and what did we have to lose? Burning sage, rose water and prayers and blessings were ready for us to begin. As in the movie, “The Green Mile,” the Reiki Master took in the bad energy and coughed, choked and cried as she did. In some areas of the home, we were asked to stay away as she felt the worst energy was there. She urged us to pray and not take in any of the energy ourselves. What an experience. She blessed each room with her prayers and ours, then we went outside and blessed the perimeter of the home. She left us with peace and a new feeling in the home. She went to Lake Michigan nearby and immersed herself with water to release the negativity. Strangely enough, I believed in this and was no longer fearful. Many friends thought we “had gone off the deep end.” A few years later, my dear friend, Margret Bazany, continued to suffer from lifelong migraines with little relief from medication. She was led to Reiki and to the same Reiki Master who had helped us; Lisa Lee. I was amazed to watch her health change and to see her interest in becoming a Reiki Master/Teacher grow. She studied and worked on Reiki, then wandered to Colorado seeking workshops in Shamanism, a form of ancient Native American healing. As she progressed in this, new avenues opened to her, and she realized she had a gift in healing and guidance. She became a Shamanic practitioner and then found studies in Archetypes, a way of finding your pathways in life. She opened her own practice, and I listened and watched and shared her so very interesting experiences. A few days before my daughter’s wedding, we had a fun session at my home which turned quite serious. My son who lives in the Pacific Northwest was home for the wedding, and he, Margret, my daughter and I gathered at my home, contemplating the wedding nervously. Margret felt a Reiki session for each would help. Reiki is a procedure which is like a fully clothed massage where the hands hover over the body, shifting energy around and eliminating negative energy. So peaceful, so calming. My son and I were totally relaxed after our mini sessions. Then Margret focused on my daughter, the bride. She has suffered from Irritable Bowel Syndrome for years, and as tension increased, the intestinal spasms increased, and Katy was in fear there would be ill effects on her wedding day. Margret focused her energies on Katy’s lower abdomen. She coughed, choked and cried as she took in the negative in this body area. We were of course skeptical, but each of us had hope and faith in Margret. Besides, this was just a “fun session.” Whether it was actual healing or mind over matter ( and who is to say that is negative?!), Katy’s IBS improved, and not only was she healthy and serene on her wedding day, but she has had few attacks since! I was having fun with all of this Reiki business and loved hearing about any form of alternative healing. I guess it takes a believer in a product in order to promote that product. As I considered my new advocation of website design, Margret introduced me to others who had become her new “spiritual friends.” I listened and learned about womens’ guidance groups and finding animal totems and guides. I watched women who had found peace and solace in yoga, meditation and studying about alternative healing. I marveled at how they felt different and shunned at times in a small community and how they wanted to find their avenue to help others grow and expand and think and be at peace in a hectic society. Margret’s friends became my friends; Lydia, a former minister at a nearby church who now offered alternative worship, weddings and baptisms and helped women find their true being through “soul groups, weekend retreats and wilderness journeys. Then there was Cecelia, who working through the medical field, saw there was more than just medicine needed to make a person whole. She had also become a Reiki Master/Teacher and was specializing in Children’s Reiki and Animal Reiki. My first website began, and as I worked, I studied and saw the whole world of holistic healing through exploring other sites. I began searching for links to other sites and organizations and publications to which my group could become a part. I was enjoying learning about web design and people design. I have become a true believer in the product I am promoting for friends. I definitely think that if we are to find true peace, harmony and health within ourselves, we need to become whole. Our energy needs to be true energy, the impure toxics need to be cleansed and we need to take time to stop and let our energies flow free within us. We need to look farther than taking anti-depressants, fat-burners, diet pills and hundreds of other medications. It is time to open minds and openly look at what else life has to offer. Out there? Yes! But the time is now to heal, grow and be a part of our earth and life itself. I hope to promote this through my work and my helping others in their work. Be Ms. Right Before Looking for Mr. Right

April 19th, 2008 by leisaphilion

By Brooke Brimm There is a bunch of talk among women about finding Mr. Right, and there seems to be a common consensus that finding him is a near impossible task. A Woman who is perceived to have found him is envied and bombarded with questions as to how she landed him. The problem with this Mr. Right theory is that it implies that women are automatically Ms. Rights. Unfortunately, this is not true. We are not all wonderful, innocent, drama-free damsels waiting patiently for our Mr. Right. Its hard to admit, but women are capable of doing just as much lying, cheating, and gaming as men. If you expect to find a man that is from free from game- playing, lying, cheating, and deceiving, be committed to being that kind of person yourself. Make a conscious effort to treat others with respect. Decide to be open and honest with others, decide to share and give of yourself, and decide to live up to the truthfulness and righteousness in which you believe. The closer you move toward becoming Ms. Right the sooner you will attract Mr. Right because people of like mines, words, and deeds are drawn to one another. I remember when I realized that the game playing in my life had to stop. I moved to a new city with the belief that if I got away from the bad influences in my life (i.e. no good men) everything would be great. However, within one month of living in my new city I had attracted the same old drama. I quickly realized that although my environment had changed I had stayed the same, and had created all the same turmoil within a very short period of time. I began the slow and steady progression toward being a better person. Two years later I married a great man, and we have been in a twelve- year marriage that is sincere, respectful, and free of game playing. Not to imply that we have not hurt each other because we have. Its hard to avoid hurting each other in any relationship. However, we come together in respect and honesty to work out our problems, and try really hard to be the best we can be for each other. We own our emotions, and share how we feel with the knowledge that it may get ugly at times, but we can get through it. Stir it up: Observe how you interact with the men in your life. Think about what you might be with holding, hiding, sneaking, lying about, cheating, and the games you may be playing. In your heart, you will recognize right from wrong because God made it so. The next time you feel like what you are about to do is wrong do not give in. Do what is right! Then ask yourself what motivated you to want to do wrong. Why did you feel justified to do the wrong thing? It is not because you are a bad person it probably has more to do with emotions like fear, anger, frustration, envy or disappointment. Remember it is okay to feel these emotions because God made them, but it is not okay to react destructively because of what you feel. Gays, Anglicanism, And Faith

April 16th, 2008 by leisaphilion

By Todd Lange Recent debates among the Anglican block once again threathen the union and community of the Episcopal Church. Commonly termed as the ECUSA or Episcopal Church in the USA, the Episcopalian community again renews its debates whether to admit or discontinue acceptance of gay bishops. The Episcopal General Convention, due to start on Tuesday, thereby carries with it the burden and the decision that could unite or disband the Episcopalian community. The Episcopal Church, once again is under pressure after Gene Robinson, an openly gay candidate with a male lover, was elevated as bishop of New Hampshire in 2003. This move delighted gender liberation groups worldwide but caused tension among the members of the Church. Pro-gay members insisted that the move serves as an equalizing factor among people while conservatives declared the move as un-Biblical since the Bible specifically states that gay sexual relations is forbidden. David Steinmetz, an expert Christian historiographer from Duke University, says that there is a possibility of two camps under the same faith, or the camps might decide to separate. Strong pressure is particularly felt from the Anglican community though the ECUSA strives mightily to lay it off. In particular, it is the predominantly conservative opinion and beliefs that cause the rift inside Anglicanism. The Episcopal Church conservatives refuse to open their minds and widen their views to accommodate the rapidly changing world views about gender, sex, and sexual identity. Homosexuality has outgrown the stigma it once carried, it is no longer a reason to be ashamed or ostracized. There is a large number of successful gay professionals that span many trades and industries. Though some still experience hostility, these are usually from seedier communities which lack proper education and instruction and are relatively rare and isolated cases. It is therefore ironic that the educated Church members that preach equality, freedom, love, and sharing remain deaf to the call of the times, and refuse to acknowledge people of different sexual orientation. Shouldn’t the Episcopal Church and Anglicanism be at the forefront of acceptance and love since the Bible specifically portrays Jesus, and God as forgiving and accepting entities? Or do they merely accept and welcome people who are strictly men and women? If this is the case, then, they are not truly accepting and loving. They do not welcome everybody but only those that they want. They even go as far as to refuse others entrance to the proverbial kingdom. This should frighten Anglicans more than the acceptance and elevation of gay members to the Bishops’ College because this kind of action signifies a false love for community. A faith based on falsity and shallow, literal interpretations of the Scriptures is bound to crumble without genuine love, and eagerness to instruct and accept. Choosing a Phone and Voice Mail System

April 14th, 2008 by leisaphilion

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jason_Morris]Jason Morris Phone and voice mail systems can be pretty costly, even for companies with a low number of users. Before investing in any type of phone system or voice mail system, you need to estimate how much your company is likely to expand over the next few years. Failure to do this could cost you or your company a lot of money in upgrade and restructuring costs further down the road. It is better and cheaper to plan and allow for expansion at an early stage, than wait until it is too late. If you plan to remain under ten users then I would recommend you invest in a KSU-less system. Basically these look like normal phones that carry all the technology and software needed to run a small phone system of up to four lines and eight to twelve extensions. These systems offer many of the features that a full PBX phone system offers. Be sure to check with your supplier what features are available on these types of phone systems. These systems are relatively cheap compared to other types of phone systems. They are also easy to install, so can be quickly re-located to another location. This type of phone system usually comes as a boxed product that is installed by you, and carries a manufacturers warranty. You will have to make enquiries with your vendor as to the level of after sales support that is available. You may find it is much less than if you had purchased a larger more expensive system. One major disadvantage of KSU-less phone systems, is that they cannot integrate a separate voice mail system. If you do choose to purchase one of these KSU-less phone systems, then you will have to use a voice mail service that is offered by your telephone company. If you decide that you must have a fully featured voice mail system, and can confidently predict your company will expand beyond ten users within next few short years, then you will be better off investing in a proper fully featured KSU phone system. These systems are typical in companies with around forty users. Some suppliers may recommend installing something called a Hybrid phone system. These systems are ideal for small to mid sized companies of about fifty to a hundred employees, and offer many of the features much larger PBX systems offer. Below is a check list for when you are selecting a new phone and voice mail system and supplier: 1. Try to estimate how much your company will grow in the next three to five years. Look at how many lines and extensions you have at the moment and decide how many your company may require in the future. 2. Contact potential suppliers, and arrange an appointment with them for a full demonstration. A number of these can be sourced off the internet or through your local business pages. This will also give them a good opportunity to have a look at you and evaluate your potential requirements. Remember to ask them about their experience and if necessary ask for referrals. You could even ask to see a system they have recently installed. 3. Make sure you decide on a rough budget for your proposed new telephone and voice mail system. Ask around other businesses of similar size, what they have invested in their systems. 4. When potential suppliers provide you with a quote for your new phone system, go through them carefully, ensuring they include all of the requirements your business will need. These may include extras like; Voice mail, additional handsets, call handling software, automated attendants, service level agreements (SLAs) and any other additional features. 5. Once you have decided on one or two suppliers, it is time to get them back round. Remember, they want your business. Bearing in mind the budget you decided earlier, make your decision based upon not only price, but which supplier you think can provide your company with the best service before, during and after the installation of your new phone and voice mail system. Any good potential supplier will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the phone system they intend to supply and install for you.
